So much justification of bison management practices sets up one draconian solution against one that's even worse - then people justify choosing one instead of seeing that the choice is a false one. And yes you were correct in saying that I do not agree with it 100 percent. I found your perspective to be unique. For those who have not seen the series or are simply on the fence about park preservation as a whole, it offers a view that is not completely bashing to the movement, but attempts to reveal the truth about the history behind the parks. I suppose so, but that only opens another Pandora's box - what then is might exactly? And, there, we "might" find some interesting conversation.

I'll definitely look into what you wrote in your blog.

Posted by Jim Macdonald to Jim's Eclectic World at 8/29/09 11:50 PM ____________________________________________________
Domain + Hosting Only US$2.95/yr. I assert there are no rights save those one or others acting on your behalf can through force or threat of force require relevant parties to recognize.

As a result humans were not born with rights, did not band together/give up rights to the state to better protect existing rights. The formed groups to create rights, economies, and laws.

I've posted a longer piece on my blog on this topic. Also I recommend that, if you haven't, you give a book called "On Private Property" a read.

Respectfully,

Posted by gothie to Jim's Eclectic World at 8/29/09 10:14 AM Jim Macdonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17315953965470221458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-636054952641909273.post-78782997989099106962009-07-31T00:08:00.000-07:002009-07-31T00:09:18.550-07:00[Jim's Eclectic World] New comment on Tom Hoyle's firsthand account of the rescue on the....Jim Macdonald has left a new comment on your post "Tom Hoyle's firsthand account of the rescue on the...":

Robert Williams has reported to me that Tom's story has one inaccuracy, namely that Robert is not a police officer but rather a volunteer with the police department. He chose to live by his ideals which brought him to create the vigil in front of the White House; he brought me to that same vigil where I too was arrested several times. It is extremely rare to find someone on this earth who speaks and lives the truth; who lives the life that his principles dictate, who lives by his ideals. Before arriving in DC, he had wonderful stories of traveling the world, giving up his passport and citizenship and trying to be what we all are: human beings sharing a planet with no borders. The lessons I learned from him are with me to this very day, and I am deeply saddened to hear the news of his death. PEACE be with you THOMAS.
- Andres Hammerman, back then Andhi Hammerhumyn

Posted by Michelle to Jim's Eclectic World at 1/31/09 12:01 PM Jim Macdonaldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17315953965470221458noreply@blogger.com
