We do limit our imaginations, don't we? We limit them in so many ways...by letting our culture determine the well worn paths down which our minds will travel...by following certain fascinations and not others...by prefering certainty to wonder...by feeling safer when a door is closed than when it is open...by our unquestioned assumptions...by the widespread mythology that human stories are the only ones worth telling...by our refusal to accept the fluid nature of self...by not realzing that numbers, words, colors, seasons, pebbles, waterfalls, lampposts and an infinity of other beings are alive too...by disintegrating mind chairs into passageways of guffawing calliopes.
